About the Hike:
Beaver Brook Falls is a little plunge in a very small gorge. The waterfall itself is somewhat nice, but it has received our lowest rating due to an unappealing walk on an old road with telephone wires, the brown color of the water source, and the fact that you must walk down through the brush to get to it. That being said, it is still worthwhile to visit if you are in the area. It is a very short and easy walk past the gate at the end of the road, and it follows the brook for half of the way. At 0.8 miles from the parking area, the road leads to the top of the falls, where you can look down at from the above, but you can't see much from there. As mentioned above, there is no trail down to the falls; access it by walking down a water-eroded path at granite marker with a plaque titled "Beaver Brook Canyon". On the way back, look for a rock formation known as "The Old Man of Keene", on the right side.
